Glass microsculptures. That’s essentially what they are. Fascinating that plant life from the waters can generate glass. Diatoms are the silica skeletons of algae. Silica is glass! These pennate diatoms come from the Hudson River estuary, right across the street from my home. What do these structures look like to you?
